Results:

68 patients were accrued. Of these 59 (88%) completed CTRT and brachytherapy (2 patients died on CTRT, in 2 brachytherapy was technically not feasible and 5 refused brachytherapy).

Post RT at a median follow-up of 8 months (3-13 months), 40 (67.7%) patients achieved cCR and nCR. Of these 1 patient opted for surgery 1 was operated for persistent mesorectal node and 1 for suspected regrowth, all these had complete pathological response. The remaining
