Conclusion:

Ablative RT in omCRPC without modification of systemic treatment is promising. The predefined termination criteria were not met, therefore further participating centers are initiated and recruitment continues.

Decision aids and treatment regret in patients with localised prostate cancer: a systematic review

Purpose/Objective:

Prostate cancer is one of the most prevalent malignancies worldwide 1 . There is considerable variation in treatment options and outcomes 2,3,4 . Treatment selection for localised prostate cancer is very difficult for patients and healthcare professionals. Making the wrong choice may result in dissatisfaction and regret. This systematic review examines the impact of patient treatment decisional aids on treatment regret in patients diagnosed with localised prostate cancer.

Material/Methods:

A review protocol was developed as per PROSPERO guidelines (CRD42023429521). SCOPUS, PubMed, ScienceDirect and MEDLINE databases were systematically searched according to PRISMA guidelines to identify relevant studies (Figure 1).
