Conclusion:
This pilot evaluation clearly demonstrates that staff recruitment and retention are concerns among young radiation oncology professionals, given their perceived impact on oncological care. Nevertheless, we have also identified actions that may help retain staff, most importantly providing professional development opportunities. While this study has limitations, such as the use of a non-validated questionnaire, small sample size and potential responder bias, the findings underscore the necessity for a larger comprehensive research. The next step entails the utilization of validated questionnaires and qualitative research to uncover underlying causes and dynamics.
