Conclusion:
Radiotherapy centres implementing radical innovations, like proton therapy, must ensure that their organisational structure effectively supports the dual challenges of implementing innovative practices while sustaining regular operational processes. The interventions in our study, particularly the appointment of teamleaders, revealed significant shifts in leadership, notably a decrease in laissez-faire leadership and a significant increase in transformational leadership among clinical care employees. The disparity between employees' perception of leadership and leaders' self-perceived leadership style has also reduced.
Keywords: leadership, innovation, organisational structure
