an increase in the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) is observed, the more substantial enhancement is seen in radial dose. In contrast, when AuNPs are combined with protons, a remarkable increase in ROS production is evident, highlighting the prominent role of the chemical mechanism over the physical one.

Purpose/Objective:
Attaining good quality of life for breast cancer patients is more important now as part of cancer care as survival outcomes have markedly improved. We measured the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and factors affecting it among breast cancer patients at the Philippine General Hospital. Breast cancer patient characteristics seen at the out-patient clinics were described and an estimate of their health utility scores, based on their disease management status, was obtained using the 5-level EuroQol 5-dimension (EQ-5D-5L) health status measurement tool. The association between the EQ-5D-5L scores and patient demographic, disease, and treatment characteristics were also investigated. EQ-5D-5L data were converted to health state utility values (HSUV). The generation of HSUV data for different stages and health states of breast cancer patients can provide us with more meaningful outcomes. It can be used to estimate quality-adjusted life-years (QUALYs) for any clinically relevant time-based outcome such as progression-free survival (PFS), distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS), and overall
