Conclusion:

Lung injuries represented common radiological findings after SABR, irrespective of clinical symptoms. A significant correlation between radiological appearance and clinical and dosimetric parameters at different timepoints was not demonstrated in this study. Further analysis is ongoing to identify predictive factors for lung radiological toxicity on a larger cohort.

Purpose/Objective:

Real world data (RWD) may be defined as information collected about patients as a routine part of treatment. RWD has the advantage of being inclusive of all patients and can provide novel clinical evidence complementary to conventional clinical trials. To understand the current status of RWD initiatives in the UK an online survey was conducted, the results of which informed the design of an in-person workshop held in Manchester on the 06/09/23. The aims of the workshop were to understand current perceptions of RWD in the UK oncology community, establish where real world evidence (RWE) could support unmet clinical need and to identify the barriers and solutions to obtaining this evidence.
