The innovative STAR plan was feasible, and all the dose limitations for our organs at risk were within acceptable levels. OAR dose constraints for both cases are summarized in Table 1. For case 1, it is noticeable that dose constraints for the stomach were not achievable (Dmax = 26.8 Gy). Furthermore, the total volume receiving the prescribed dose was above 130cc. Conversely, for case 2, the maximum dote to the stomach was reduced to 4.6 Gy, well below the dose constraints and V100 was below 70cc. It is also remarkable, the improvement in mean heart dose, going from 6.4 Gy to 5.2 Gy. The procedure was performed without any incidents or acute toxicities. At 1-month clinical evaluation our patient presented an improvement in left ventricular ejection fraction, functional capacity and quality of life without any cardiovascular symptoms, VT events or ICD shocks.
