Conclusion:

An experimental setup was established for investigating the dynamic changes in pO 2 in saline water solution during proton PBS deliveries using a phosphorescence probe. The pO 2 reduction rate correlated well with the instantaneous dose rate per delivered spot. Future work will include investigation for higher dose rates and in vivo application during proton PBS FLASH irradiation in mice.
