Fig. 2 presents the variation of PVDR and beam FWHM at different depths within the tumour region. These are obtained by averaging the values of the three central peaks. The beam FWHM is stable with a 5% variation across the tumour. This is important considering the goal of maintaining the same spatial dose modulation over the treatment region. The PVDR shows, as expected, an exponential decay from 27 down to 17 as we move away from the collimator.
