In Fig.2a, the effect of change in NTCP from default 5% with different SD(D) is calculated. For estimated dose variations in our hospital of SD(D)=10%, increasing NTCP to 15% would increase the dose constraint by 5%. Regarding change in dose delivery accuracy, with NTCP=10% fixed, decreasing the variation to SD(D)=5% would allow an increase of the dose constraint of 5% as well.
Conclusion:
We showed two strategies to improve re-irradiation dose constraints. Firstly, published clinical dose constraints do not generally fit the LQ model with standard α/β, which can yield significant errors in dose conversions. We
