Hospitalization for patients with previously treated or undergoing radiotherapy for head and neck cancer is frequently necessary due to the severity of treatment-related side effects, including radiomucositis, radiodermatitis, febrile neutropenia, and complications related to the progression of the tumor, primarily dysphagia and general health deterioration.
