Conclusion:
2stLR CumI was within the range of the literature, but higher than expected, pinpointing the impact of radiation field extension. Since a 2ndLR worsened the outcome, salvage modality must be carefully planned.

Purpose/Objective:
Lymphedema presents a common concern among breast cancer survivors. There is limited data on the influence of intense physical activity including strength training in the development or aggravation of lymphedema. Thus, we analyzed intra and extracellular fluids levels in the upper extremities of patients from 3 prospective study cohorts at our Exercise Oncology Center (EOC) undergoing an exercise intervention during breast cancer treatment: EXERT-BC, EXERT-BCN, and EXERT-C.
Material/Methods:
Women on the studies underwent an intense exercise regimen utilized compound movements with linear progression to promote strength and mobility, along with exercises meeting set and repetitions to promote hypertrophy and maximize body composition. All patients exercised under observation by Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists thrice weekly for three months. Lymphedema was assessed at baseline, during exercise, and at the end of the program using the InBody 990 bioimpedance analysis machine (InBody, Seoul, Korea), which provides accurate measurements of fluid and muscle-fat metrics. InBody analysis distinguishes between intracellular (ICW) and extracellular water compartments (ECW) along with total body water (TBW). The Edema Index, based on the ECW/TBW ratio, enables the detection of fluid imbalances associated with lymphedema development or progression.
