Figure 1: Head and Neck MDT radiotherapy pathway

Since July 2024, 480 fractions of intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) have been delivered to 21 patients treated with radical intent. 100% of patients started radiotherapy within the 15-day KPI and median time to start date was 11days (range 0-14 days). 355 multi-disciplinary appointments have been provided in 16 weeks, with CNS being the most impacted resource (see figure 2).

Conclusion A streamlined MDT pathway ensures the needs of patients can be met with a short median time to start RT (11days). The needs of HNC patients are complex requiring multiple appointments with core MDT professionals
