Conclusion These results suggest that for measuring SDM in oncology, all three tools are rated similarly by patients in terms of ease, time, and support; however, qualitative analysis reveals some challenges for patients. These experiences should be considered when implementing SDM in clinical practice to improve overall effectiveness and patient experience.

Digital Poster Reducing radiotherapy waiting times: Streamlining pathways facilitated by ARIA Care Paths Gavyn Soper, Helen McCracken, Thomas Rackley, Dorothy Tan, Clare Beswick, Helen Payne, Claire Davies, Philip Parsons Radiotherapy, Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff, United Kingdom Purpose/Objective This centre has operated as a dual vendor radiotherapy department for two decades. While vendor independence had some advantages, workflow efficiencies were adversely impacted, due to the use of two oncology information systems (OIS). Radiotherapy pathway management traditionally operates independently of the OIS, relying on manual processes prone to errors, causing confusion and treatment delays. As of January 2023, all radiotherapy referrals received were booked with the intent to commence radiotherapy as per Welsh Government mandatory targets i.e. 100% of scheduled physics planned patients to start within 21 days of referral. Workflow inefficiencies were identified as contributing to poor performance, highlighting the need for efficient workflow management to drive improvement. It was anticipated with the implementation of Care Paths within Aria, pathways could be streamlined, providing better visualisation, and allowing for improved time to treatment metrics. Material/Methods The majority of clinical oncologists at this centre lack dedicated time for target delineation, creating significant bottleneck in the pathway. To address this, a small multidisciplinary group was formed to collaborate with each clinical oncologist and mapped out bespoke pathways, including the consultants ‘ideal’ time to delineate based on their job plan.
