A guide sheet was created for radiotherapy bookings, highlighting all the bespoke pathways, ensuring that all pathways started within 21 days of the radiotherapy referral. (Fig 1)

Due to the large number of bespoke pathways, generic Care Path templates were developed with ‘Target Delineation’ being created as an appointment. All consultants in Aria were made schedulable with ‘Target Delineation’ only being available to book into at the agreed times. At the point of Care Path go live, radiotherapy bookings were instructed to book all patients as per the guide sheet. Results Radiotherapy performance is measured every month. Initial performance following Care Path implementation in June 2023 was consistent with previous months as most patients who started in June and July were not scheduled using Care Paths. August 2023 onwards demonstrated a considerable improvement in performance e.g. September showed 41% more patients hitting their mandatory target date compared to June (Fig 2).
