T90 had a marginal decrease of ~0.1-0.3°C, for strategies (1-3). Notably, the novel strategies reduced both the tissue volume exceeding 45°C and variation in max(T tissue ), suggesting that, if needed, device adjustments would be less extreme, allowing for a more consistent T90.
Conclusion: Optimisation strategies considering tissue-property uncertainties lowered the probability of exceeding normal tissue constraints, with only minor impacts in tumour T90. Clinically, this could enhance the effectiveness of thermoradiotherapy by reducing the need for intensive device adjustments, promoting more reliable hyperthermia treatments that better complement radiotherapy.
