For PDR studies, local control (LC) rates range from 91.1-100%, with median 92.8%. LC rates for HDR studies range from 85.7-100%, with median 95.2%. Treatment-related toxicity was reported using different classification systems resulting in a difficult comparison. However, for both PDR and HDR, the incidence of high-grade toxicity is low. Interviews were performed at five institutions; four experienced with HDR BT (three in the Netherlands, one in Italy) and one with PDR BT (the Netherlands). Results were compared between PDR and HDR. A summary of major differences in terms of treatment practice is displayed in Table 1.
