Digital Poster Impact of a radiographer led psychosexual clinic on functional erectile and quality of sex measures for cancer patients. Gayan S Chetiyawardana Radiotherapy, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, Nottingham, United Kingdom Purpose/Objective: In 2022 there was an estimated 20million new cancer diagnoses worldwide 1 . Sexual dysfunction (SD) is a common side effect due to the psychological impact of the diagnosis itself or the combined physical and psychological trauma of diagnostic tests or treatments 2 . Between 17%-100% of cancer patients may suffer from SD depending on tumour site and treatment type 3 . A radiographer led psychosexual pilot clinic was set up to see if it could help support patients suffering from SD. Material/Methods: A therapeutic radiographer led psychosexual clinic had been running between July 2021 and December 2023. This clinic reviewed any male cancer patient that had received cancer treatment under a locally employed clinical oncologist and had developed sexual dysfunction since their cancer diagnosis or treatment. 59 new patients and 32 follow up patients were seen with the majority having had prostate or head and neck (H+N) cancer treatment (with one rectal cancer patient). Patients were asked to fill out a modified International Index of Erectile Function-15 (IIEF-15) questionnaire prior to their new patient appointment and again before their follow up. Patients were reviewed by a therapeutic radiographer with psychosexual training and reviewed utilising the Institute of Psychosexual Medicine model.
