To address this gap, HollandPTC developed an in-house education program, initially focused on treatment planning, and tailored to the unique requirements of proton therapy [1-2]. The course optimizes RTT time investment by balancing required staff involvement with independent learning. Material/Methods: To assess the current training program for treatment planning and gather insights on strengths and weaknesses, two focus groups were conducted: one with treatment planners and another with medical physicists and radiation oncologists. The discussions were guided by an expert-approved conversation guide and facilitated by two independent moderators. Data collected from these focus groups was used to develop a curriculum based on the method of L. Dee Fink [3].
