Radiotherapy is associated with deficits in memory, attention, executive function, and verbal fluency [2]. Understanding dose response relationships is key to minimizing cognitive decline. This pilot study examines the relationship between radiotherapy dose and cognitive decline in patients with benign meningioma (WHO I), using data from the prospective PRECODE (PREselection of patients at risk for Cognitive Decline) study (NTC04638478). The aim was to assess cognitive changes post-radiotherapy by evaluating neuropsychological test outcomes in relation to treatment parameters like mean brain dose and gross tumor volume (GTV). Material/Methods: Cognitive assessments were conducted for 11 patients at baseline, 3 months, and 2 years post-treatment. Verbal memory and working memory were evaluated using the Hopkins Verbal Learning Test – Revised (HVLT-R), focusing on the Total Recall score, which measures retention of verbal information. Cognitive changes were quantified using Reliable Change Indices (RCI). The RCI calculated between baseline and 3 months reflects short-term cognitive changes, while the RCI between baseline and 2 years provides insight into long-term changes. Factors such as age, education level, and tumor volume were considered to account for natural variability.
