The Medical University of Vienna and the University of Groningen/ UniversityMedical Centre Groningen collaborate in the organisation of the annual Medical Sciences Summer School Oncology forMedical Students. The Summer School takes place alternately in Groningen (even years) and Vienna (uneven years). The first Summer School inGroningen was held in 1996 and in Vienna in 1999. Students who participated in the Summer Schools were extremely satisfied with the organisation, scientific content and topic range.
