Conclusion:
This prospective phase II trial for LARC patients showed a clinically relevant increase of 10% in pathological CR in patients treated with preoperative radiochemotherapy combined with locoregional HT compared with only radiochemotherapy, mostly with mild toxicities.

Purpose/Objective:
Colorectal cancer is one of common cancer. Rectal cancers comprise a third of colorectal cases. Locally advanced rectal cancer is treated with three modalities therapy consisting of neoadjuvant chemoradiation, surgery, followed by adjuvant chemotherapy. The Quality of life (QoL) is central to treatment goals and there is limited data on quality of life (QoL) in locally advanced rectal cancer. This study aimed to evaluate the QoL of patients with locally advanced rectal cancer after chemoradiotherapy.
