SYMPOSIUM Medical writing and publishing 14:30 - 15:45 | ROOM 118-119
Although you may be an expert at the science and can fulfill the requirements for a journal, this is not enough to make your manuscripts understandable, interesting, convincing…or publishable. Writers need to communicate effectively, so successful medical writing and publishing are both science and art. Our first speaker, an experienced publications writer, will share his knowledge and provide some “golden tips” to help writers optimise their chances for publishing in peer-reviewed journals. The following speakers will provide a first-year update for the three rapidly developing ESTRO journals and discuss issues they consider when deciding to accept or reject manuscripts. Chair: G. Borst (The Netherlands) Co-Chair: M. Spalek (Poland) 14:30 > Effective medical writing – golden tips for young scientists Speaker: P.
