14:30 - 15:45  |  ROOM 111 Chair: V. Valentini (Italy) Chair: M. Fuchsjäger (Austria)

MONDAY 23 APRIL 2018

14:30 > Dual energy CT: Benefits for proton therapy planning and beyond Speaker: C. Richter (Germany) 14:48 > Ultrasound imaging in radiotherapy: ‘Old’ technology with new applications in RT? Speaker: E. Harris (United Kingdom) 15:06 > MR-LINAC technological advances and potential usability in clinical setting Speaker: O. Jäkel (Germany) 15:24 > Multiparametric MR-PET for differentiation of residual disease vs treatment-induced inflammatory changes Speaker: M. Becker (Switzerland) A number of different approaches has been investigated to modify hypoxia in tumours and to eliminate the hypoxic population. These include increasing oxygen availability, radiosensitizing (killing), modifying cell respiration, targeting tumour vasculature, increasing radiation dose to resistant sub-population, and others. Hypoxia displays a large degree of inter-patient and intra-tumour heterogeneity. The symposia will cover recent advances from the initial identification and validation of genomic biomarkers and multi-parametric functional imaging approaches to select which patients, or which sub-volumes of a tumour, are most likely to benefit from various hypoxic modifications, to the implementation in current biomarker-driven clinical trials on hypoxic modification. Chair: J. Alsner (Denmark) Co-Chair: K. Røe Redalen (Norway) 14:30 > Genomic biomarkers for selection of patients to hypoxia modification Speaker: H. Lyng (Norway) 14:55 > Multi-parametric functional imaging for patient stratification and hypoxia modification Speaker: D. Thorwarth (Germany) SYMPOSIUM Biomarker driven hypoxic modification 14:30 - 15:45  |  ROOM 120-121
