DEBATE Autoplanning, is there still a bright future for RTTs after automation? 11:00 - 12:15  |  ROOM 129-130 Autoplanning can play a role to improve plan quality and consistency, by making it possible to explore more treatment options than would be possible in everyday routine. It can increase the efficiency as well. Several planning studies show that autoplanning offers good class solutions. Furthermore, with autoplanning, RTT’s can focus on other parts of the planning process, e.g. the development of techniques. However, several drawbacks can be defined using autoplanning. The risk of RTT’s not being able to make a treatment plan manually is one of them. In this debate the future for RTTs when using autoplanning will be discussed. Chair: M. Mast (The Netherlands) Co-Chair: S. Mercieca (Malta)
