ESTRO AWARD LECTURES - EMMANUEL VAN DER SCHUEREN AWARD

Christine Verfaillie ESTRO office Brussels, Belgium

Christine Verfaillie studied Modern History and Library & Information Science. She started working as Librarian at an educational college, moved on to work as Manager Central European projects at IBO, an international NGO for community building and joined ESTRO in 1995 as Congress Manager. From 1998 to 1999, she was Director of the events team at the Tourist Board of Ostend. She returned to ESTRO and contributed since 2000 to the further development and strengthening of ESTRO as a scientific society. She has been particularly committed to the ESTRO School and enjoyed supporting the expansion of the School’s activities, the innovation and improvement of the educational programs, the collaboration with the numerous teachers and tutors sharing their competencies voluntarily and is enthusiastic to carry the School forward on its international journey, for the benefit of cancer patients worldwide. Christine currently is Managing Director Education and Science at ESTRO.
