CLINICAL IMPLEMENTATION AND USE OF MR-IMAGING IN EXTERNAL BEAM RADIOTHERAPY

Course aim To provide an overview of the current and future role of MR imaging and how to clinically implement MR imaging into external beam radiation therapy. The course aims at conveying knowledge and sharing clinical experience in an applied manner. Learning objectives After following this course, the participant will be able to: • Describe the concept/idea behind patient positioning in MR • Set up a RT-specific MR workflow • Discuss the advantages and limitations of MR imaging in radiation therapy • Describe how to train RTTs in using MR imaging • Describe how to safely perform MR imaging

• Identify artefacts in MR imaging • Read MR images on a basic level.

Who should attend? Radiation TherapisTs (RTT) and allied health care professionals interested in: • Improving their knowledge of the current and future role of MR in radiation therapy treatment • Learning how to safely and effectively implement MR imaging in daily clinical practice.
