Dosimetry for IMRT requires additional measurements

• Depth dose curves for small fields Penumbra measured with adequate detector Output facors for small fields • Transmission through MLC • MLC position and gap opening when closed

Other modulities as VMAT, Tomotherapy, Gamma knife and Cyber knife may be used for IMRT

Phantoms and clinical audits may be used for quality control of the beam data entered into your system

Important to use optimal detectors for measuring the beam data and to make a correct absolute calibration of the accelerator
