Adenocarcinoma (no lobular carcinoma) No microcalcifications on mammogram

Tumor < 3 cm (unilateral on MRI) pN0 (sentinel node before RT)

Partial Breast RT pre-operatively Surgery at 6 weeks after RT

10 x 4 Gy in 2 weeks (n=70)

5 x 6 Gy in 1 week (n=50)

Early results from 40 Gy/10 fr reported little fibrosis and good feasibility Phase III trial using this technique is active based on initial positive results
