Advanced TP

Summary  Experience with IMRT and IGRT continues to grow.  IGRT:  provides explicit information to moderate uncertainties.  is currently limited to simple on-line interventions  must evolve to support more complex interventions  IGRT requires further development  Accumulate statistical models of organ movement and setup error.  Reduce time and effort required for re-planning  Planning and IGRT:  Adaptive control (driven by model-based feedback)  Robust control (driven by statistical models of uncertainty)  Incorporation of robust criteria reduces effort; e.g. replanning.  Formal methods for balancing trade-offs in control design
