given across the investigated skills as well as comments on ‘Real-time adaptive radiotherapy’ and are presented below.

MRI acquisition

Experience and exposure with practical training was listed as essential and was described by participants as the ‘most efficient’ and ‘best method’ of learning. One participant suggested post-graduate learning should be undertaken whereas others suggested working in a diagnostic department would be best. RTTs expressed the need for training to be ‘hands on’ and that it needed to be an appropriate length of time although the length was never specified.

MRI Safety

‘Reading isn’t enough’ was a comment by one participant. Multiple participants suggested that spending time in a diagnostic department was appropriate with clinical practice described as the best method of training. Participants suggested that recurrence of training was important as well as competency-based learning.

CT-CBCT Fusion

Participants mentioned the need for experiential learning. They stated how hands on training was crucial and how a practice database for this skill would be useful for training. A participant also mentioned the importance of an environment where peer learning and review could happen.

MRI Fusion

Again, participants stated the need for clinical practice, a practice database, and peer learning. A participant also mentioned the transferable skills of TRs which would aid training for MRI fusion. The need for time for was expressed but again the length of time needed was not mentioned. A participant mentioned the need to have training opportunities in both an offline and online setting.
