Conclusion: The clinical effectiveness of OF masks and maskless SGRT is comparable to that of the current standard of care FH masks. Considering novel immobilisation devices are better tolerated by patients it is suggested that radiotherapy centres should consider the use of these novel devices to improve patient experience without compromising clinical outcomes
Keywords: Open-face masks, SGRT

Digital Poster Effect of Abdominal Compression on OAR motion and organ-to-organ distance in abdominal radiotherapy Sarah Walters, Adam Selby, Helen Streater, Nia O'Rourke, Owen Nicholas, Jennifer Kahan South-West Wales Cancer Centre, Singleton hospital, Swansea, United Kingdom Purpose/Objective: Abdominal compression (AC) is a frequently used to minimise respiratory motion during abdominal radiotherapy. While AC is known to reduce PTV size and organ motion, selection criteria of patients who benefit is yet to be determined 1 . We assessed the effect of AC on OAR motion and organ-to-organ distance to elucidate its potential impact on radiotherapy planning and dosimetry. Material/Methods: Ten patients who underwent 4DCT planning scans with and without AC for abdominal radiotherapy were identified. Bilateral kidneys, spleen, liver, large and small bowel and stomach were delineated in maximum inspiration and expiration phases; with and without AC. Organ motion and organ-to-organ distance were recorded. Kidneys were nominally used as the ‘target volume’.
