planned dose with the expected outcome in local control and toxicity. A major concern when performing reirradiation is the risk for inducing severe complications. In discussions the right balance between tumor control and complications need to be sought, mathematically expressed as TCP and NTCP. Especially the rectum is prone to develop adverse events associated with treatment volume and dose.
