SYMPOSIUM Advances in MRI simulation (MRI-only treatment planning) 09:15 - 10:30  |  ROOM 112 MRI is the imaging modality with best soft tissue contrast. However, implementing MRI-based simulations in radiotherapy is not straightforward. Whereas CT may give geometrically and densitometrically accurate images, MRI has challenges with providing the correct patient geometry and cannot provide electron densities for dose calculations directly. This session addresses MR techniques for bone visualization and generation of pseudo-CT (pCT) images. Different types of MR acquisitions and post-processing methods will be presented. Moreover, the session will discuss the dosimetric impact of introducing pCT. Finally, clinical workflow of MRI-based planning alongside QA steps necessary to ensure a high accuracy will be presented. Chair: E. Malinen (Norway) Co-Chair: A. Pfaffenberger (Germany)

SYMPOSIUM In vivo dosimetry and online dose verification 09:15 - 10:30  |  ROOM 115

In vivo dosimetry supports the safe delivery of radiotherapy. This session focusses on how different detectors can be used in advanced techniques and what the current needs and challenges are. The speakers will present a range of new detectors including scintillation detectors for real time for vivo dosimetry in brachytherapy as well as MOSkin, Rectafix and EPID detectors for SBRT applications. The session will
